At Dimensions we want to support the scientometric community in their work to understand research dynamics and develop new ways of thinking about research indicators. To work towards this goal, we make Dimensions data openly available for bibliometric research purposes, and on this page you can apply to use this free access in your work.

In order to apply, you first need to register with our application portal and accept the terms of use before you can request access for your project. Please register with your institutional email address as we unfortunately cannot support generic addresses such as gmail.com etc. Thank you for your understanding. 

In the second step of the process you will need to describe the aim of your work. Please be clear and concise in this description - by understanding your project goals, what makes your project unique, the data and access you need, as well as the timeline and expected outcomes, it will be easier to assess how we can best support you and your team. If you plan on using the Product(s) in multiple projects, please fill out one application per project.

Once we’ve reviewed your application, we will email you to confirm whether it has been accepted or request further information. We try to do this as soon as possible, but please allow up to 4 weeks for a final decision.
